The Mason City Multi-Purpose Arena

The Mason City Multi-Purpose Arena

The Mason City Multi-Purpose Arena is located in historic downtown Mason City Iowa in the South Bridge Mall. The arena was developed as part of a downtown rejuvenation effort to reutilize an abandoned JCPenney’s and bring business back to the mall. As a result, the Mason City Arena is the largest entertainment venue in North Iowa. It is the home of several local hockey teams, concerts, theater, trade shows, and sports events.

To enhance the look and feel of the arena color-changing lighting was added to the design. Wiedamark partnered with icon HD to deliver a solution that included 168 linear wall washer fixtures and over 300’ of digital flex neon lighting. All the architectural lighting elements are controlled using the state of the art Madrix LED lighting control software to create an alluring exterior presence and an interior game-day atmosphere like none other.
